We did have a good time at the Zoo Taiping last weekend. After went for my hubby’s friend wedding ceremony at Batu Kurau, we decided to go to the zoo. The drive there wasn't too bad just a lot of clouds rolling by. Luckily the weather was just fine all the day. We finally arrived and once finding the entrance to the Zoo, we headed in. Due to the weather it wasn't as busy as a normal day would have been. It did make it nice though without all the crowds everywhere. We arrived right about 3pm. We found the " ZOO TAIPING & NIGHT SAFARI" sign, and we took a picture of it with ‘1 Malaysia’ signal tought by my hubby to our precious.
Well then we walked back to the ticket booth to ask for tickets. We started went around the 2.5km area with a shuttle bus. Maira was very excited to sit in front of the long opened vehicle.
My hubby had a lot of fun taking pictures and we got a lot of good ones. After the trip, we decided to walk to explore the animal planet. We planned it right so that we could see the whole Zoo. Well that was our goal and off we went. We took a lot of pictures on the way and it was nice that the animals were mostly out and about and not just hiding. It was nice to see wild monkeys going into the different exhibits like there were a part of it. We did a lot of walking and walking, oh yes and some more walking. We saw brown tailed deer, civets, tapir,hippopotamus, snakes and a variety of birds, goats and monkeys. It was funny watching them beat each other up and then stare at us. We saw lions, and goats and grizzly bears. Very tired walking, still trying to make our goal. When we were at the leopard cage which had a black one and a leopard print one in the same cage., Maira tought it was a cat, she said to her papa “papa…..nyiowwwww!" . We watched giraffes stretch to reach the leaves of the tree top. Finally we saw the elephants, the most huge animal. Maira likes seeing them dancing with the amazing flexible trunks…
